obviously we need to find a way to win this game tonight.  however i think everyone on the boards will agree--the hawks need to finish in the 6th or 7th spot in the eastern conference.  while neither spot gives you the benefit of home court--both of those spots keeps you away from a second round date with the cavs.  while i don't see us beating anyone in the first round right now--i feel like if we can right the ship before the playoffs get started--the hawks would have a shot at knocking off boston or washington in a first round playoff series.

if they end up seventh--that would pit you with the celtics in round one.  that's not a team that would just wipe the court with us!  say the hawks pull the upset than they would likely play the wizards in round 2--much easier than the LeBrons.  and then--i know i'm dreaming--that would put us into the conference finals against cavs unless they get knocked out.  definitely a better spot than the 4/5 or 8th slot.

so maybe this losing and lackluster play by the hawks of late is them tanking for the 6th or 7th slot in the playoff race.  well i had to try my best to find a silver lining.
